I offer liturgical workshops for lay and professional prayer leaders. We concentrate on making every service in the synagogue a spiritual experience. That leads us to learn the structures, the music, and the deepest meaning of the texts of prayer. We also learn how to convey these vital aspects through our voices. By studying a wide diversity of customs (minhagim) the workshop participants learn to adapt to the needs of each congregation, to construct traditions for the many new congregations in Germany, or to add new and exciting facets to existing traditions. We use the workshop atmosphere and the group feedback to intensify the learning process and to learn from each other’s experience.
